NAMCO Bandai is no stranger to game adaptations of popular anime. Now, One Piece: Pirate Warriors, a sort of Dynasty Warriors take on the popular children’s anime One Piece, is the publisher’s latest anime project. The studio has recently announced that the game will be released exclusively on the PSN on September 25th 2012, commemorating the fifteenth anniversary of the One Piece manga and anime franchise. Yes, fifteen years. One Piece is very quickly becoming The Simpsons of Japan.
In addition, NAMCO Bandai has also unveiled the release date for their new Thundercats game which, although not anime in the traditional sense, is certainly done in anime style. The game shares the same release date as Pirate Warriors, September 25th, 2012. The game will come out for the Nintendo DS and will follow the characters of the brand new Thundercats reboot.
