According to Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Ada Wong will appear in Resident Evil 6 as a playable character.
Her inclusion was teased at Comic-Con last month, but hasn’t been confirmed until now. Ada will have her own full campaign complete with unique mechanics, just like all of the other main characters, but you won’t be able to select her campaign until you beat the game with Leon, Chris, and Jake.
Ada’s story will tie up loose ends in the rest of the campaigns. In fact, when Ada shows up in the stories of other characters, she might be controlled by another player going through Ada’s campaign. This pretty much confirms that Ada’s story will happen in parallel to the other three characters and may lead the player to a sort of “true ending.” Ada’s main weapon is a crossbow which can fire a number of different arrows including explosive and incendiary bolts.
In addition, Famitsu has revealed the game’s new Agent Hunt mode, which seems to be right out of Left 4 Dead. In this mode you take control of a powerful creature, whether it is a zombie, mutant, or otherwise. Here, your goal is to main character the player is controlling. Just like Left 4 Dead, the human character has the advantage in Resident Evil 6, and so you will have to work together with other player controlled monsters and the A.I. to take them down. Coolest of all? This happens right in the single-player campaign. Still, you can turn the mode off if you find fighting intelligent monsters to be a bit too challenging.
