Here’s a bit of unexpected but certainly welcome news: Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, the 2010 downloadable brawler that tied into the Michael Cera movie of the same name, will be receiving online multiplayer on August 19.
The DLC was quietly revealed in a post on Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb’s blog.
The new multiplayer mode, the details of which are still unknown, will only run you 400 Microsoft Points ($5), and even includes a new character, Wallace Wells, to help you beat up all those side-scrolling rabble-rousers on streets of Canada.
While this update thus far only applies to the 360 version o the game, Scott Pilgrim was released on the PlayStation Network back in 2010 as well. Whether or not Ubisoft will show PlayStation owners the love has not been announced at this time.
