In a New Year’s post over at Polytron, a very interesting tidbit of information was dropped among the profound reflection on FEZ’s success and Polytron’s ups and downs. FEZ will be ported onto other platforms.
Yes, Polytron’s first New Year’s resolution is to bring their award winning Xbox 360 exclusive to the rest of the gaming universe. Unfortunately, the post didn’t say which platforms were being considered, but the PlayStation 3 is probably a pretty safe bet. Of course, there is always a chance that we might see FEZ hit the Wii U, the Vita, the 3DS or even mobile devices. We will just have to wait and see.
While the post mentions that “the future is uncertain for Polytron” the company still has some interesting projects in the works. Apparently, there are “a couple new games in the pipeline” and “some exciting plans for the soundtrack.” The post also mentions a “possible U.S. branch.”
Phil Fish, the man at Polytron’s helm, said “I want to design everythinig!” adding “It’s just me now, I could do anything with this company, but I don’t know what yet.”
We will just have to wait and see what the New Year brings.
