Black Ops 2 Mixup Could Mean A Free Copy Of Mass Effect Trilogy
Mass Effect Trilogy Collection

Yesterday, we reported about an unfortunate printing mixup that caused some retail copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, to actually contain the data for Mass Effect 2. While many gamers have looked at this as an unfortunate mistake, and simply used steam to download the rest of their Black Ops II data, BioWare thinks this is something more: an “omen,” if you will. According to the BioWare Blog, they seem to think this is a sign that the universe is telling you to play Mass Effect rather than Black Ops.

Of course, Mass Effect 2 is a weird place to start your trek through the Mass Effect Universe, so BioWare is giving affected players an even better deal. The first fifty people to send in a picture of the problematic Mass Effect install prompt will be sent a free copy of the Mass Effect Trilogy. So the players who have received those misprinted disks may have just gone from unlucky consumers that couldn’t install their game, to recipients of four amazing games for the price of one.

Now that’s an unexpected bundle that we can get behind!
