Throughout the year, Nintendo has preferred to announce details about their upcoming games via their Nintendo Direct episodes. While they may have left 3DS owners wanting more back at E3, for example, an October episode filled in the details regarding new entries for Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, and Paper Mario.
The upcoming episode will feature future titles for both the Wii U and 3DS. With several launch window titles due out by March, such as Bayonetta 2, The Wonderful 101, and Pikmin 3, we're expecting some actual release dates to be announced. While the Zelda and Metroid titles are most likely out of the question, could a familiar Nintendo mascot step out of hiding? Or maybe we're due for another third party exclusive. Either way, we'll find out shortly.
We're also hoping for release dates on Nintendo’s upcoming handheld library like Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Both are expected to be out in early 2013.
Personally, if there's nothing mentioned about Fire Emblem: Awakening, I'm going to be pretty angry.
