The list of complaints against The War Z just keeps growing longer. We already have false advertisement, plagiarism, unnecessary censorship, and glitchy gameplay. But now we can add “security hazard” to the list.
Today, OP Productions announced that its forums and game database have been hacked. While the hack only reveals personal information that would have been volunteered from message boards, all player passwords were temporarily open.
The War Z players have been urged to change their passwords, but the damage has already been done.
If you shared your password with any other services, change your password on those services might be a good idea as well.
OP Productions is taking steps to increase security and prevent something like this from happening again.
