Although the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s newest DLC pack, Uprising, has already hit, other gamers have been left out thus far. Lucky for us, Activision and Treyarch recently announced that the content will be going multi-plat May 16th, and will be staying true to its $14.99 price tag.
The DLC “includes four new multiplayer maps, plus ‘Mob of the Dead,' a bone-chilling new Zombies experience,” says the pair.
Mob of the Dead caters to the zombie side of the fan-base, and offers four playable characters who all share the characteristic of being a prisoner of Alcatraz prison, where the zombie horde will be taking place.
The new maps are looking to diversify the multiplayer system, each given a distinct theme, and one even offering a revamp a map from the original Black Ops. Those are:
- Magma - Set within a modern Japanese village, volcanic eruptions carve multiple paths throughout the town.
- Encore - Taking place in the aftermath of a deserted London music festival, Encore leaves numerous opportunities for run-and-gun, close quarters combat.
- Vertigo - A futuristic high-rise mega-structure located in India featuring dizzying vistas and multi-tiered pathways.
- Studio - A contemporary re-imagining of "Firing Range," the fan-favorite multiplayer map from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops. "Studio" is a Hollywood movie back lot with a variety of cinematic themes that range from Sci-Fi to the Old West.
