Sony has been profoundly open when it comes to the PS4’s launch lineup. We already know that Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack, and Driveclub (psst, click those titles to see their videos) will be available at launch, and Infamous: Second Son will only be a few months behind. However, their newest announcement takes that philosophy one step further: every PS4 owner will have access to a free, pre-bundled game.
The game in question is The Playroom, a veritable DualShock 4 highlight reel. The inclusion isn’t exactly groundbreaking. The Playroom is designed to emphasize the utilities of the PS4’s new controller as well as the PS4 Camera, and isn’t too high on many core-gamer wish lists. It’s also worth noting that the Camera won’t be included with the system’s standard $399 package.
Interesting as it is, The Playroom appears to be little more than a Spellbook reiteration and will likely take backseat to the news that PS+ subscribers will get a free copy of Driveclub at-launch.
