BioWare Talks About Mass Effect 4, New IP
Mass Effect Trilogy Collection

BioWare recently answered a few questions on Twitter concerning two of their upcoming works: Mass Effect 4 and their new franchise.

First, the developer stated that Mass Effect 4 will be friendly to both fans and newcomers, though they didn’t indicate whether or not a system such as Mass Effect: Genesis would be incorporated. Genesis, for the uninitiated, was an interactive comic book that continued the story from the original Mass Effect title for people who purchased Mass Effect 2 on the PS3.

The team is also working on animation improvements for the sequel, and they mentioned that, in terms of RPG elements, they’re taking as much inspiration from Mass Effect 1, a game with a good deal of RPG flair, as they are from Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, games that were a bit light in the RPG department.

BioWare also mentioned some teasers concerning their new franchise, stating that the game had a successful first project review. Apparently most of the team that worked on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will stay with the studio through the game’s completion.
