With Grand Theft Auto V’s September 17th release date inching ever closer, Rockstar hasn’t been shy about the details of the series’ current-gen finale. From the newly revealed launch trailer to added underwater content, GTA V is shaping up to be the biggest and most diverse GTA yet. Commenting on the game’s immense scope, Associate Technical Director and Combat Designer Phil Hooker said, speaking with IGN, that, after setting high bars for the team, the majority of which had worked on GTA IV, “we surpassed our own expectations and during development I think everyone working on the game has been astounded by improvements to the graphics, or new mechanics, or AI, or mission scope along the way."
“Hopefully the gamers will see all of these improvements at once in one go,” he continued, “compared to GTA IV, this definitely feels ‘next generation’ to us.” If you’re still hungry for GTA V, check out the cheats we’d like to see in the game (they are our specialty).
