Brown chicken, brown cow…
That may be the only time I can get away with opening a news story like that, as BioWare claims that the sex scenes in the upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition will be “mature” and “tasteful” and…sorry…I couldn’t get through that without giggling.
Jonathan Perry (the game's cinematic director) wants to present the material in a similar way that you’ve seen in games such as Mass Effect (and apparently not like the infamous hot coffee mod of GTA: San Andreas). In an interview with GamerZines, he explains how he would like to keep things discreet and focus on the character development leading up the deed, as much as the deed itself.
“You might have a nude character but they are framed in such a way that parts of them are in shadow, or having characters in various states of undress. We also want to focus not just on the sex itself, but also that this is the culmination of spending a lot of time with a character and getting to know them, and so we’re giving scenes a mature and tasteful treatment I guess. We’ll see where it goes for Dragon Age: Inquisition, it’s something that we’re working on right now so we’ll see how these scenes pan out.” said Perry.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available on just about every system imaginable, including your calculator (that was a joke…please don’t spend money buying a next-gen calculator). Look for it sometime in fall of 2014.
