It’s the 45h anniversary of Shonen Jump. What the heck is Shonen Jump you ask? It’s only the one magazine that is pretty much responsible for just about every single anime you have watched and manga you have read, if you are into pop anime that is. To celebrate, Namco Bandai is creating J-Stars Victory Vs. a fighting game that appears to have mechanics more along the lines of Dragon Ball Z games or Naruto games than any serious Capcom fighter.
But forget the mechanics. It’s the roster that is important here! In a brand new trailer, Namco Bandai revealed even more characters that will be joining the huge cross anime brawl. Johnathan and Joseph Joestar from the acclaimed Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure will be joining the roster, as will Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z and Sasuke from Naruto. They will join fan favorites from the series like Gintama, Yu Yu Hakusho, Ruroni Kenshin, Bleach, Shaman King, and much much more.
J-Stars Victory Versus is planned to come out on March 19th in Japan. A U.S. release date has not yet been announced, but dollars to donuts we would bet that this game is going to be massively imported. J-Stars Victory Versus is going to come out for both the PS3 and PS Vita. A next-generation release has not been announced.
