Wow, Resolutiongate is starting to get a little crazy. I mean, not only are games revealing that they don’t run at 1080p on the Xbox One, but now they are running at resolutions that we didn’t even know existed. The Titanfall Beta, for example, runs at a native 792p resolution…what the heck is that? Everything we have heard of at this time is 720p or 1080p. Was Titanfall actually made in a middle resolution just so that it can be uprezzed?
That being said, this isn’t the final resolution of the game. According to Abbie Heppe, community manager at Respawn, the resolution of the game will increase as the team gets closer to the final build. When the game is finally released, it will be closer to a 900P native resolution, but it’s still not the 1080p resolution that Xbox One fans want. At least there’s not going to be a PS4 version that runs at a higher resolution, but the PC version will likely look prettier.
