An all-new gameplay trailer was released for Tango Gameworks’ horror title The Evil Within on Wednesday, on April 9. The trailer features lots of blood and gore, a seemingly abandoned house, mutilation of all sorts, and a brief encounter with Boxman.
In The Evil Within, directed by Shinji Mikami, known for his work on the original Devil May Cry, the Resident Evil series and Vanquish, follows the story of detective Sebastian Castellanos, who--along with his partners--was called in to investigate a gruesome mass murder. After a mysterious force slaughters his teammates, Castellanos is then knocked unconscious after being ambushed.
The horror title is said to have hard-to-kill enemies and a scarce supply of weapons and ammo, as well as claustrophobic spaces and situations that’ll be more flight than fight.
The Evil Within will release on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in North America on August 26, followed by a European release on August 29.
