As reported by GeekNifty on Saturday, August 30, 2K and Turtle Rock Studios have announced that another Closed Alpha has been planned for the upcoming four-on-one shooter Evolve, which has been touted to be even bigger than the game’s previous Closed Alpha.
However, even with its announcement, additional details regarding Evolve’s second Closed Alpha were not provided, other than a statement from 2K saying that it’s not ready to reveal such information yet, but details will be shared “soon.”
"We’re not ready to announce an official date for the second closed alpha test just yet, but 2K and Turtle Rock Studios will be sharing many more details soon."
Turtle Rock Studio has pushed the release date of Evolve until early next year. Initially, Evolve was slated to release on Tuesday, October 21 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but now the game will launch on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in both the US and UK.
We’ve also established that Evolve won Game Critics Awards’ “Best of Show” award for this year’s E3, along with more than 50 awards and editorial honors (including four more from the Game Critics Awards).
We’ll bring you more news on Evolve should further information reach our ears.
