If there's any game more synonymous with Nintendo and their consoles, it's Super Smash Bros. That's why fans absolutely lost their minds yesterday when the Nintendo Direct dropped the proverbial bomb. Super Smash Bros. is indeed heading to the Nintendo Switch. Of course there's no release date besides 2018, there's no line-up of characters, and nothing has been revealed definitively. But just the knowledge that it's happening is enough to set most gamers' hearts ablaze.
Much like the reveal trailer for the game which showed the Super Smash Bros. logo up in flames. There were a few familiar faces that were revealed in the flickering light of the fire. Mario and Link were there in the shadows. More prominently featured in the reveal were two inklings from the Splatoon franchise. Their inclusion to Super Mario Bros. is sure to make many fans happy.
If you haven't seen the reveal trailer for Super Smash Bros. on the Nintendo Switch, you should go check it out on YouTube. It is of course just a teaser trailer so you're not going to see any major information here. Though I wouldn't doubt it if people started trying to figure out silhouettes of characters in the distance when the logo first appears. Which Nintendo character old or new are you hoping to see in the new Super Smash Bros.?
