Mature games aimed at adults on Nintendo systems aren't the norm, generally speaking, but it does happen. South Park: The Stick of Truth will prove that there is a definite exception to the rule by first financial quarter of 2019, according to a recently released press release by Ubisoft.
The Stick of Truth was the first South Park RPG, and it came out during the last generation of consoles. It was followed a couple years later by the superhero-themed South Park: The Fractured but Whole. The original game is grounded in a fantasy world a la Game of Thrones.
Notably, this release will be digital only. It’s also probably worth mentioning that when South Park: The Fractured but Whole was released on the Switch, it wasn’t without some issues. That is sometimes just an effect of porting. Hopefully, that won’t be the case this time around. I guess it won’t take us long to find out for certain, though, as 2019 isn’t all that long of a wait.
