Since Resident Evil 4 for the PlayStation 2 was not part of Capcom’s line-up at E3 this year, we thought it was going to be a while until the game was released. Thankfully, we were wrong and Capcom has announced that the game will be available on October 25, 2005 in the US. The game will be available shortly after that in Europe with a November 4 release date.
There were rumors that Capcom had trouble making the PS2 version of the game as graphically spectacular as the GameCube game, but sources suggest that the game is “surprisingly close to the GameCube original.” There will slightly less rich texturing and less facial detail, but overall, the game will be similar to the GameCube version.
