Console Open Beta Announced for The Crew

Console Open Beta Announced for The Crew

Earlier on this month, Ubisoft’s The Crew entered Closed Beta on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which only lasted a short while. Now, however, the game has entered its console Open Beta, which will be taking place next week from Tuesday, November 25 through to Thursday, November 27. This window of opportunity will be the last time players will be able to try out the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 before it releases worldwide on Tuesday, December 2.

Since July 2014, more than a million players have driven across the United States during The Crew’ previous Closed Betas. With The Crew now going into Open Beta, all players will be able to explore the entirety of the United States (in a sense), as well as compete in challenges in two of the five regions that’ll be available during the game’s Open Beta: the Midwest and the East Coast respectively.

Within these two regions, players can compete against other players in PvP lobbies that’ll be accessible to those who wish to take part in competitive play. Furthermore, players will also have two of the five spec classes available so they can customise and fine tune their cars to their liking–Street and Dirt respectively.

In order to participate in The Crews’ Open Beta, you’ll need to have an Xbox LIVE / a PlayStation Network account. However, some of the game’s online features will require Xbox LIVE Gold / PlayStation Plus membership in order to be accessed.

The Crew is slated to fully release worldwide next month on Tuesday, December 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One’ We’ll bring you more news on the game should further information reach our ears.
