Data Shows Australians Prefer Watch_Dogs Over GTA V

It seems we’ve slipped into some type of weird parallel universe where Grand Theft Auto is not the preferred sandbox game of choice around the world.

The folks down under apparently don’t cotton to GTA quite as much as we gamers north of the equator, as they instead prefer Ubisoft’s hacking title Watch_Dogs . Apparently its rocky start and mixed reception here in the States and abroad had little effect on the buying habits of the typical Australian consumer, with NPD data showing it took the #2 spot right behind Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for the year in 2014. So where did Grand Theft Auto land on the charts, you might ask?

Take a look at the breakdown (via GameSpot) below to find out:

1. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (360, XBO, PS4, PS3, PC)

2. Watch Dogs (PS4, XBO, 360, PS3, PC, NWU)

3. FIFA 15 (360, PS4, XBO, PS3, Wii, 3DS, PSV)

4. Grand Theft Auto V (PS4, XBO, 360, PS3)

5. Minecraft (360, PS3, XBO, PS4)

6. Destiny (XBO, PS4, 360, PS3)
