Yesterday, Ubisoft Communications Specialist Anne Lewis confirmed through the studio’s blog website that a free two-hour demo of The Crew is now available on both the PS4 and Xbox One. Everyone who decides to try out this demo will be able to save their progress and pick up right where they left off should they decide to buy the full version of the game.
In addition to this news, Lewis also mentioned that the Vintage Car Pack is now available for download too. This new piece of add-on content includes three beautiful classic cars, and four new faction missions to participate in. Ubisoft has provided a short game update video that gives fans a better idea of what to expect from this package.
I personally think this is a great move by Ubisoft to make a trial of this game freely available for new players to dive into. While it’s currently unclear if this will lead to more sales for the game, I do think the bold move is warranted and something they should definitely consider doing with a lot of their other titles down the road.
