The addition of backwards compatibility to the Xbox One is a big deal. 104 games worked on the system when the capability was rolled out with the November 12 update, and Microsoft has promised more will be added to make the feature even better. Plus, all Games with Gold Xbox 360 games are going to be backwards compatible titles too. The real question is, when will more be announced? Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft’s Xbox division, doesn’t have an exact date, but he has a timeframe.
When asked about the addition of new games to the Xbox One backwards compatible library, Spencer had a reassuring response. Every month, new games will be made backwards compatible. There’s no specific and recurring date set, but there will be monthly updates.
Perhaps this means the next round of Xbox One backwards compatible games will be here before Christmas?
