Battleborn isn’t exactly 2016’s most popular game. It’s faded into mediocrity. But, there are people who genuinely enjoy it. So much so, that they’re trying to make November 12 Battleborn day, so they can have one day with full servers and people to play with. The best part is, Gearbox is on board with the event idea too.
It all started with a post from bkndx on Reddit. He suggested everyone meeting online at 3:00pm ET on November 12 to play. People chimed in agreeing, with Gearbox’s Randy Varnell, the creative director, saying he’d see about doing something on his end. This will lead to a Battleborn Day multiplayer playlist, with Gearbox taking requests on Reddit to see what modes, maps, rules, characters, and bonuses people might want.
This is all coming just after two Battleborn DLC additions. Kid Ultra was added on November 3, and Toby’s Friendship Raid, the second story operation, will come out on November 10. Battleborn may never catch up and compete with its contemporaries, but at least it’s trying!
