The Fable series is in a bit of a rut right now unfortunately. Fable 3 frankly wasn’t very good (I still enjoyed it) and Fable Legends got canceled. And yet, it would appear that Fable is trying to find other ways to cling to existence. The new Fable game is called Fable Fortune and it’s a trading card game.
The Kickstarter campaign for Fable Fortune was canceled a while back, because the developers had supposedly gotten more reliable funding. But that was the last that we had heard about the game. Now it has resurfaced, so let’s remind you a bit about it. Fable Fortune will have co-op support and there is an alignment mechanic, because we love the ability to choose being good or evil in the Fable universe.
Fable Fortune will be free-to-play on PCs and Xbox One consoles. But of course you can get it earlier by ordering the Founders Pack for $15. It includes 20 card packs, a founder’s card called Chicken Vengeant, and a bonus fabled card, Giant Egg. Fable Fortune releases July 11 across the board, so the wait isn’t too long for those who would just like to play for free either.
