Days Gone Arrives February 22, 2019

Days Gone Arrives February 22, 2019

Sony’s Bend Studio has been ramping up its marketing efforts for Days Gone , with gameplay previews, trailers, a Game Informer cover, and more. But it wasn’t previously announced as one of the games Sony will be focusing on at E3. Now we know why.

During Sony’s pre-E3 festivities, it was announced a “Worldwide Studio” game will have a fancy release date reveal ahead of the big show. Of course, that game turned out to be Days Gone , which is now scheduled for release on February 22, 2018.

Sony Bend released a new trailer to pair with the date announcement, and there are a few more details to go with that. They are little things of course, but announcements nontheless. First, the trailer introduces wildlife enemies in addition to the human zombies: mountain lions, cougars, and infected ravens called Criers. A new human faction, called Rest In Peace, is also introduced and is a cult that worships the “Freakers.” These folks are referred to as Rippers, and they dress like Freakers and kill anyone who isn’t. They also refuse to fight Freakers, so some shenanigans with herding swarms can ensue.
