Crackdown 3 Delayed… Again

Crackdown 3 Delayed… Again

Part of my job is to know approximately when video games are being released or delayed, but I’ll be honest: I had straight up lost track of Crackdown 3. Apparently, it was supposed to come out Spring of 2018, after having already been delayed; it was supposed to be a very early title for Xbox One. Now, I guess, it’s going to come out in February 2019 allegedly. That’s five years after its initial announcement.

The statement made by Microsoft says, “Our fans’ response to the signature antics and explosive gameplay of Crackdown 3 has been incredible,” and, “To ensure we deliver the experience they deserve, Crackdown 3 will be launching in Feb 2019.” I guess until they knew the fans were really excited and deserving, they planned on kinda just half-assing it? I’m joking but statements like this rarely make much sense to me.

Still, Crackdown 3 looks like an impressive game and original promises regarding cloud rendering on the azure server farm and the capacity to account for a ridiculous amount of tiny, beautiful moving parts could really escalate the already bombastic, super cop, action game. I look forward to February, assuming the game is released in February.
