Cyberpunk 2077 Has No Loading Screens

Cyberpunk 2077 Has No Loading Screens

According to a CD Projekt RED representative, we can expect Cyberpunk 2077 ’s massive, vertical cityscapes to be completely uninterrupted by loading screens. This news came from CD Projekt RED’s official Discord channel. Associate design director Kyle Rowley was asked, “will there be loading screens from area to area?” Rowley replied, saying “no loading screens after the initial load into the game.”

So, there you have it. Cyberpunk 2077 will have an initial load, which could very well be huge. But after that opening load, the rest of the game will, allegedly, operate without interruption.

Cyberpunk 2077 made its re-debut at E3 2018 this year, introducing the game with a big trailer, and showing hands-off gameplay demonstrations in behind closed doors meetings. This followed an original announcement in 2012, which was followed by a first trailer in 2013. The time in-between then and now was largely filled with The Witcher 3 , which is now over.
