Ex-Nexon Executive Cancels LawBreakers Panel

Ex-Nexon Executive Cancels LawBreakers Panel

Some drama was once again kicked up surrounding Lawbreakers , as a former Nexon marketing executive was planning to deliver a panel on their experience with the game. The panel, which was set to be held at the DevGAMM Summit, had an inflammatory title that seemed to ruffle some feathers. As a result, the exec announced that the panel was canceled, and that further plans to talk would exclude the game.

The panel was called, “ LawBreakers: How I Blew Millions Marketing the Biggest Flop of 2017.” The speaker for the panel was Vlad Coho, who was Vice President of Marketing at Nexon at the time. Nexon was the publisher for LawBreakers , which mostly populated headlines after its release with news of strikingly low player numbers on Steam.

LawBreakers developer Boss Key Productions has since shut down, and Co-Founder Cliff Bleszinski had some words for the panel after word of its existence spread. In a statement, Coho said that while the panel was intended to be able lessons learned on his end, with no content about the development of the actual game, the panel has been canceled “out of respect” for the team, and that if he did still talk at the event, he would not mention Nexon or LawBreakers .
