Every year, BlizzCon attendees are able to access and purchase merchandise for the event, which is often themed around what’s happening during any given year. Sometimes that means announcements get out a little earlier than planned, as is what happened with a recent World of Warcraft expansion. That seems to be the case again this year, as a few pieces of Diablo merchandise in the Blizzard Gear Store appear to be pointing at a new branding.
The branding is Diablo: Reign of Terror , which appears on a new t-shirt design, as well as a poster featuring what seems to be new art produced for whatever this is. Could it be a new game, or something else? Notably, there are multiple novels available in the BlizzCon shop as well, two of which are reprintings of Diablo novels tied into the very first game. Thus, a remake or something involving the original game isn’t off the table either.
We will certainly find out what exactly Diablo: Reign of Terror is when BlizzCon 2018 starts with a Diablo panel on November 2, 2018.
