Mass Effect-inspired Subverse Raised Over $2 Million

Mass Effect-inspired Subverse Raised Over $2 Million

Another game has joined the $2 million Kickstarter club! The sexy Subverse , from FOW Interactive, has raised £1,668,626 from 58,730 backers. That comes out to about $2.1 million! It raised more money than Larian Studios’ Divinity: Original Sin 2, which brought in $2,032,434, but less than Cloud Imperium Games Corporation’s Star Citizen , which made $2,134,374.

Subverse is a game for people who liked the sci-fi setting of Mass Effect , where people headed beyond Earth and got involved in intergalatic politics, as well as its relationship aspects. Yes, this is an adult strategic-RPG. Players are a human with a spaceship called the Mary Celeste roaming the Prodigium Galaxy. Since the people in power are against sexy things, your nine alien and human female allies and the bioengineered monsters you bring along are there to fight back. There will be turn-based tactical battles, space shoot’em up fights with ships, and visual novel elements for the relationship aspects.

Since the Subverse Kickstarter passed £1 million, every stretch goal was unlocked. It will be a 30 hour, 10 chapter game with full voice acting, animations, and customizable quarters. An adult manga will be created to provide background stories for the 10 heroines. Also, FOW-chan was unlocked as a character and the heroines will have loyalty missions.

Subverse is in development for PCs.
