Become Pokemon Masters in Summer 2019

The Pokemon Masters mobile game, which will be a free-to-start RPG that has people becoming Pokemon trainers and fighting alongside two other trainers in matches, has a release window. In Summer 2019, DeNA will be releasing it worldwide. It will be available for Android and iOS devices in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.

Rather than work on catching multiple Pokemon, Pokemon Masters focuses on one. These are called Sync Pairs. Each fight will have three Sync Pairs on each side. Your goal is to advance through the ranks of the Pasio Island Pokemon Masters League Tournament to become the best. Each battle takes part in real-time, with the AI controlling your two partner trainers. You’ll also get to earn badges for battles as you play.

Part of the draw is getting to see familiar faces. A number of famous trainers and gym leaders from past Pokemon games will appear in Pokemon Masters as friends and foes. A few have already been revealed. Red, from the original Pokemon Red and Blue , will be there with Charizard. So will his rival, Blue, with his Pigeot. Original gym leaders Brock and Misty will appear in Sync Pairs with Onix and Starmie. More recent pairs that will show up are Cynthia with Garchomp, Iris with Haxorus, Brandan with Treecko, Rosa with Snivy, Clair with Kingdra, Acerola with Palossand, Barry with Piplup, Flannery with Torkoal, Korrina with Lucario, and Thorton with Bronzong.

Here is the official Pokemon Masters preview trailer.

No firm release date has been announced, but Pokemon Masters should appear on Android and iOS devices in the next few months.
