COD: Modern Warfare Alpha Is a PS4 Exclusive

COD: Modern Warfare Alpha Is a PS4 Exclusive

People with PlayStation 4s will get their first taste of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare this weekend. After some rumors and leaks, a major event was confirmed at gamescom 2019. Activision and Infinity Ward have prepared a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare alpha test for anyone with the console between August 23-25, 2019.

Since this is an alpha test, there are fewer restrictions on what people need to do to participate and play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for free. All you really need is a PlayStation 4 and a relatively stable internet connection. Once you grab the alpha, you just have to wait for the test to begin. You don’t need to have PlayStation Plus, even though you will be playing online. You also don’t need to make any commitment to buying a copy of the game.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare alpha will be focusing on one mode. People will take part in the 2v2 Gunfight. This is a close-quarters affair where the goal is to be the last team standing. You have five rounds total to win, and your random loadout is determined each round. The Docks, King, Pine, Speedball, and Stack maps will all be available during the course of the test. Also, it doesn’t appear people will get any kind of bonus for the full game for participating in this trial, beyond the satisfaction of having played one multiplayer mode early.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25, 2019. Its beta will be held in September 2019 .
