Dying Light 2 Could Last 100 Hours and Get DLC for Years

Dying Light 2 Could Last 100 Hours and Get DLC for Years

It’s looking like Dying Light 2 could be a substantial game that keeps people invested for years. Techland Lead Designer Tymon Smektala has encouraging words for people who were hoping to step into the shoes of a survivor and head into a first-person adventure filled with zombies. It turns out it could be as long or short as you like, and there will plenty of support after the fact.

First, Dying Light 2 will be the sort of open world game that people can play for not just days, but weeks and months. Smektala went over how long or short it could end up being. The main campaign is an average sort of length, but it will be like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim , in that extra quests and adventures could keep pulling you back in. Specifically, Smektala said, “But it is 15 to 20 hours for the main story, because the whole content I would say is more than 100 hours.”

As for DLC, Dying Light 2 will have Techland’s full support. In fact, it will be given just as much attention as the original Dying Light . As a refresher, the first one came out in January 2015. However, it still keeps getting add-ons. In fact, it received the Rais Elite Bundle on August 27, 2019, over four years after its launch! Smektala confirmed that the plan is for Dying Light 2 to also get four years of add-ons and updates after launch.

Dying Light 2 doesn’t have a release date yet. However, the zombie game will drop PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players into the apocalypse sometime in the beginning of 2020.
