Far Cry: Blood Dragon and Rayman Cartoons Are Coming

Even more adaptations of games are going to be hitting small screens. This time, they’ll be far more animated. It turns out Ubisoft is going all-in, when it comes to cartoons based on its different sorts of games. While Rabbids Invasions is coming to Netflix and Nickelodeon, a number of other shows based on games like Far Cry 3 , Rayman, and Watch Dogs are on the way.

Some of these games are going to be for people of all ages. Rayman will be among them. It will have its own adventure show starring Rayman and his friends. Naturally, it will be a comedy. The Hungry Shark mobile game will result in Hungry Shark Squad .

Two of the games that will inspire shows for older audiences are among Ubisoft’s more popular brands. Far Cry 3 is famous for its Blood Dragon expansion, which was an over-the-top celebration of 1980s art and ideas. It will be a cartoon produced by Adi Shankar called Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Vibe. Shankar most recently has been on call as an executive producer for Castlevania and the upcoming Assassin’s Creed and Devil May Cry animated series.

Finally, the Watch Dogs cartoon might have a different feel from the games its based on. While the past titles starred adults, this one will involve a teenage girl. Also, instead of using hacking to bring down evil corporations, it will have her making her high school a better and safer place by exposing wrongdoings with the power of technology.

There’s no word yet on when any of these shows may start airing.
