Red Dead Redemption 2 Mods Already Beginning to Appear

Red Dead Redemption 2 Mods Already Beginning to Appear

One day after the Red Dead Redemption 2 PC launch, people are already finding ways to customize the game to their liking. Mods have already started appearing for the game. Now that the game has been available for a full day, eight different items have been added to give people a chance to start altering their game experiences. While some are just images or saves, others are already a little more involved.

Some of the more notable Red Dead Redemption 2 mods available at launch involve altering the look of Arthur Morgan or the game as a whole. The two people can start immediately using involve new sorts of shaders to change the look of the game. Crubino used help from the Reshade Team to make a Simple Realistic Reshade. Meanwhile, DigitalDreams (with credit also to Crosire) also has a Photorealistic Reshade mod. Both can be installed immediately.

However, the Red Dead Redemption 2 mod that would change how Arthur would look isn’t able to be used just yet. RedDeadModders also have put together a Joker texture mod for him based upon the 2019 movie. It adds the villain’s face paint to the character’s face. However, this is more of a proof of concept item at the moment, as it is currently not possible to install it.

However, people will only be able to use these mods if they are able to actually launch Red Dead Redemption 2 on their PCs. Some haven’t been able to get the game going since its launch. Crashes, freezes, and just an inability to get going have all been reported, with Rockstar Games even adding to its support page and updating its game launcher in an effort to make it possible for people to play.
