See All of The Game Awards 2019 Winners

The Game Awards have once again had their moment. The event took place on December 12, 2019, honoring a number of video games fans loved throughout the year. This time, there weren’t too many surprises when it came to winners. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Death Stranding did a lot of show stealing. However, both Fire Emblem: Three Houses and the indie Disco Elysium received a lot of love too.

Most notably, The Game Awards 2019 top winner was Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice , which took Game of the Year and Best Action/Adventure Game. Death Stranding was honored for Best Game Direction, Best Score and Music, and Mads Mikkelsen’s performance. Fire Emblem: Three Houses ended up not only getting Best Strategy Game, but turned out to be this year’s Player’s Choice. Finally, Disco Elysium stole folks’ hearts and the Best Narrative, Best RPG, Best Indie Game, and Fresh Indie Game awards this year.

The Game Awards 2019 also was host to multiple announcements, like Microsoft’s Xbox Series X, Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Square Enix’s Bravely Default 2, Telltale Games’ The Wolf Among Us: Season 2, and Gearbox’s Godfall.
