Resident Evil Resistance Beta Postponed for PS4 and PC

Resident Evil Resistance Beta Postponed for PS4 and PC

Capcom’s Resident Evil 3 remake comes out very soon, and it comes with Resident Evil Resistance as well. Resistance is a new multiplayer game separate from the main story, and Capcom was supposed to be running an open beta test over the weekend until April 3, 2020. While things appear to be going smoothly for Xbox One players, the rest of the fanbase is going to have to wait.

It seems like Capcom is having some unexpected server issues, even for an open beta. This morning, the official Resident Evil Twitter account noted that PS4 users were experiencing matchmaking problems, and that the team was looking into it. A few hours later, the account came back with bad news. For now, the PS4 and Steam open betas, the latter not having even started yet, are delayed.

It seems like this is a global issue, as Capcom’s Japanese website also updated with the same information. The Japanese post noted that the team is investigating the problem and will update players once the issue is discovered and resolved. Until then, it’s a waiting game. Resident Evil 3 , therefore Resistance as well, is scheduled to launch on April 3, 2020. So, that doesn’t leave a lot of room for a substantial delay.
