Ubisoft Responds to Misconduct, Gesture Removed from CoD

Ubisoft CEO Releases Statement in Response to Misconduct Claims ( via Official Website )

Ubisoft has had a particular light shined on it during this summer’s wave of harassment and sexual misconduct allegations. A number of prominent Ubisoft staff members have either been suspended or left the company, and CEO Yves Guillemot has also responded to the situation. In a statement, Guillemot laid out immediate and long-terms plans and changes to better prevent and deal with this stuff.

Without making any sort of announcement, the “ok” gesture has been removed from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in the latest update. No attention has been drawn to the move, even in the patch notes, but players noticed it was gone pretty quickly. However, the “ok” gesture has become a sort of ironic far-right symbol in recent years, so that’s likely the reason why.

2K Games and the WWE have announced that WWE 2K Battlegrounds , a sillier, arcade-style brawler featuring WWE legends and current wrestlers, has a release date. You’ll be able to play this over the top wrestling game starting September 18, 2020. The game will launch for the PS4, the Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. Also, if you preorder you’ll get access to Edge, who only just recently came back to the WWE after a long absence due to injuries.
