Xbox Series S Controller Leaks, Chipotle Has Tony Hawk Burrito

Xbox Series S Controller Leaks, Chipotle Has Tony Hawk Burrito

Controller Packaging Leak Suggests Xbox Series S Exists

Over the weekend, a Twitter user was able to get their hands on a next-generation Xbox controller. They then shared pictures of the controller’s box online. The box indicates that the controller is compatible with PC, existing Xbox hardware, and the upcoming Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S. The Xbox Series S is not an officially announced product. At least, it isn’t an officially announced product, yet.

These pictures of the box have gotten gamers talking. Rumors have already been spreading about the possibility of a second next-gen Xbox Console that would be discless and more affordable. At this point, Microsoft has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors. In a statement to Digital Trends, one spokesperson said, “We have a lot in store for Xbox in 2020 and can’t wait to share with you.” They then continued, “however, we have nothing to announce at this time.”

If these rumors about the Xbox Series S proved true, the Microsoft would be matching Sony’s strategy as Sony has announced something called the Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition which does, indeed, eschew a disc slot and feature a lower price point. In a time where a lot of people prefer to purchase their games digitally, it’s definitely an option that makes sense.

Chipotle Giving Away Tony Hawk Demos

Chipotle is now offering something they call the “Tony Hawk Burrito,” which is part of a marketing event to sell burritos and promote the upcoming release of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2. The brand is also offering copies of the game’s demo to the first 2,000 people who order the burrito via the Chipotle app.

The burrito itself is, outside of its name, pretty normal. It is filled with brown rice, black beans, chicken, tomatillo-red chili salsa, cheese, and guac. The demo, however, contains the iconic Warehouse level from the first game.

If you’re lucky enough to get one of the demos, you will receive a code at the e-mail linked to the Chipotle app. The game, which is a remaster of the first two games in the franchise, will feature online multiplayer and is set to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 4, 2020.

New Remedy Title Set in Control and Alan Wake Universe

Remedy has announced that the company is working on a product that will take place in the same universe as Alan Wake and Control. The announcement accompanied a trailer for Control’s latest expansion which has a crossover with Alan Wake.

Details outside of the fact that the product will exist are sparse. It is interesting to see that some of Remedy’s games are tied together, especially considering how unique the settings of their games can be.

It is possible that Epic will be publishing these games as they did announce earlier in the year that they would be publishing the company’s next two games. One of these games is a multi-platform AAA title, and the other is smaller but set in the same franchise. There’s a lot to ponder between all these vague details. When we know more, we will be sure to report on it immediately.
