Nintendo Reportedly Talking 4K, Series S Details Revealed

Reports Suggest Nintendo is Talking about 4K

There’s been a lot of talk lately about a potential upgrade of the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has officially stated that there won’t be any new console coming in 2020 but that doesn’t speak to the possibility of a new console in 2021. A new Bloomberg report makes the possibility seem even more likely. T

he specifics of the report briefly mention a request by Nintendo for developers to make their games ready for 4K resolutions. If that is true, then it seems like a fair assumption to say that Nintendo is thinking about producing an upgraded Nintendo Switch. Nintendo systems have often been behind the curb in terms of resolution and this sort of upgrade would put them on equal footing with the other contemporary consoles, more or less.

Recently, we also heard rumors of the potential for an upgraded display on the next iteration of the Nintendo Switch. Those same rumors suggest that this upgrade would be out in early 2021.

Price and Release Date for Xbox Series S Announced

In addition to speculating whether or not it even exists, there’s been a lot of speculation about the price point of Microsoft’s upcoming console, the Xbox Series S. Now it looks like we finally have an answer to those questions. It exists and is coming out on November 10 for $299.

Additionally, we know that it will be the smallest console in the entire Xbox line. In terms of specs, we can expect 4K upscaling, DirectX Raytracing, and the potential for games to run at 1440p and at 120 FPS.

Much like the similarly named Xbox One S, this console will be all-digital. As for the Xbox Series X, we are still waiting on official announcements for the price and more.

New Zelda Set 100 Years Before Breath of the Wild

While it’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the upcoming sequel to T he Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild , we now know of a new game that can scratch our Zelda itch in the meantime. It is a prequel set 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild and will be called Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

This game won’t be a traditional Zelda game. Instead, it will be a Mousu-style game like Dynasty Warriors. If this sounds familiar, it’s because this game’s predecessor, Hyrule Warriors , also fit that description.

The game will have co-operative play, puzzles, crafting, and unlockables. Stylistically, it looks very much like Breath of the Wild which is to say it’s beautiful. The game will be released on the Nintendo Switch on November 20. People who pre-order will receive an in-game weapon for Link called the Lucky Ladle.
