Sony Looking into Feedback about Recent PlayStation 4 Patch
A recent patch for the PlayStation 4 inspired a bit of a controversy when it was revealed that Sony would have the ability to log and monitor Party chats. It also combined messages and party chat into a single feature, which hasn’t been a smooth transition for some players. On October 17, the company announced that it would be looking into things. This announcement came in the form of a tweet published to the official PlayStation Twitter account.
The tweet doesn’t actually mention what aspects of the patch they’re looking into, and there’s no planned course of action as of yet. Sony has said they’ll keep users posted.
In the meanwhile, there’s little that can be done. Sony isn’t going to, “actively monitor or listen in on your conversations,” according to a statement made by Catherine Jensen, SIE’s VP of Global Consumer Experience. I’m not sure how much of a comfort that actually is.

Stardew Valley to Get New Way to Play Co-Op
Eric Barone, the person behind Stardew Valley , has announced that an upcoming update will make it possible for players to participate in four-player co-op on PC.
He also stated that some other platforms will only allow for two players, though. Still, that’s more than there was before when players could only connect to eachother over the internet. And before that, there wasn’t a co-op mode at all.
It’s heartening to see developers support their game for so long after its release. Beyond the new split-screen option, the update will bring additional features to the game. For starters, players will be able to move their bed around. Apparently there’s a demand for that.

Marvel’s Avengers Outcompetes Other Games in September Sales
Marvel’s Avengers is a good game based on very recognizable properties. Perhaps that’s why it was the best-selling game for the month of September.
Even though its “games as a service” portions felt a little lacking upon release, there were still hours upon hours of potential gameplay for players to enjoy. The developers were also clear that impending updates would be bringing more content to the title for a while yet.
Other popular new games for September include Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 , Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and Star Wars Squadrons which are also very recognizable properties in their own right. This fact might say quite a bit to the game’s popularity.
