Spider-Man Saves Will Transfer on PS5, Remote Play on PS4

Spider-Man Saves Will Transfer on PS5, Remote Play on PS4

PS4 Version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Getting Save Transfer Feature

Marvel’s Spider-Man by Insomniac Games will be remastered on the PS5. It will also support save data from the PlayStation 4 version of the game according to a tweet posted to the Insomniac Games Twitter account.

The tweet comes in response to criticism that the game might lack the feature. “We have heard you – in an upcoming update for #SpiderManPS4, we will add the ability to export your save to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered ,” it begins.

The update is expected to arrive around Thanksgiving.

PS4 Receives PS5 Remote Play App

PlayStation 4 users may have realized that their console now has a new app on their dashboards. The app is meant to allow remote play of a PlayStation 5 console from a PlayStation 4.

Currently, the app, entitled “PS5 Remote Play,” doesn’t have any functionality. This is likely because the PlayStation 5 hasn’t released yet. The presence of the app does, however, hint at the possibility that the PlayStation 5 will be playable with a DualShock 4 controller through this method, even if the PlayStation 5 itself doesn’t offer that compatibility.

The PlayStation 5 releases on November 12. We are not yet sure if that is when the app will go live.
