The Game Critics Awards gave “Spore” awards for best of show, best original game, best PC game, and best simulation game at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. The winners are chosen by a group of 33 game reviewers.
“Spore” is being developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. Creator Will Wright, who was also the mastermind behind “Sims”, creates a world where the player simulates evolution by starting as a microscopic lifeform and later going on to conquer entire galaxies in his interstellar travels.
Other favorites were “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” (which won best console game and best action/adventure), “F.E.A.R.”, “We Love Katamari” and “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion”.
