For a long time, crossplay was a banner cry for the gaming community, with games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Fortnite leading the charge. It’s pretty normal now, but the Call of Duty community has landed on a big problem: cheating. Players are now clamoring to turn crossplay off due to cheating tools on the PC version, especially folks playing the Warzone battle royale game. Infinity Ward has issued over 70,000 bans and counting, but for now the issue is ongoing.
Nintendo Preparing Additional Switch Production to Battle Reseller Bots (via Nikkei)
As the pandemic has progressed, demand for things like the Nintendo Switch has gone way up. Naturally the resellers smell blood in the water, and prices for the hot console have skyrocketed on the secondhand market. Unfortunately, due to things like said sellers using checkout bots, supplies have dwindled. In response, Nintendo is attempting to boost unit production by at least 10%. Will that work out? It still depends on parts and suppliers. But Nintendo is doing what it can to weather the storm.
Crysis Remastered Announced, Coming to all Platforms (official site)
This summer, the game that everyone made fun of for people using it as a blockbuster benchmark is coming to… the Nintendo Switch? Crytek revealed Crysis Remastered this week, and it will be available for all current platforms including the Xbox One, the PS4, the Nintendo Switch, and of course the PC. To be fair to the memes, Crysis can still tax even top of the line PCs with the right settings, so seeing it on a Nintendo handheld will be something else.
