Grand Theft Auto V’s Xbox 360 Install Error Mimicked on PS3

Grand Theft Auto V’s Xbox 360 Install Error Mimicked on PS3

Grand Theft Auto V is probably going to be the game of the year. As great as it is, let’s face it; it’s not perfect. With a game of this size and scope, there were bound to be some technical problems, and, only a few short days in, they are starting to rear their ugly little heads. The first major issue we saw was with the Xbox 360 version of the game. The retail copy ships with two discs: the first disc is for mandatory install and the second is used to play the game. Now, it’s commonplace for people to use the install-disc option for many Xbox 360 games.

Unfortunately, this is where things get a little tricky. It’s been reported that texture and aliasing issues abound once the game has been installed to the hard drive . It has become such an issue that Rockstar took to its Twitter account to advise that “for optimal performance, we recommend not installing that disc. We will have more info on our Support Site at launch.”  Well, today, it looks like PlayStation users who downloaded the game via the PSN may have not dodged that bullet just yet. A rumor suggests those using the digital-version download from the PSN report the exact same problems. Which begs the question, with no disc to fall back on, how will Rockstar patch the issue?
